What Happens To Us When We Die

When all neurological activity has ceased there is no more for us to experience.

Consciousness is observably an emergent property of neurobiochemistry.
This doesn’t detract from the beauty of abstract thought nor the complexity of interaction that gives rise to free will, but it does preclude the existence of the soul as a separate entity which continues to ‘live on’ after our corporeal bodies die.

I think this makes life more wonderful and precious for it means this is our one life now and we should live it as best we can instead of looking forward to the next.
