Colour/Gender Nonchalance/Ambivalence

Racism is perpetuated in modern social media.
Until your skin tone is brought up as a topic it is entirely irrelevant to how I feel about you.

However, if you’ve been targeted because of your skin tone by people of a different ethnic origin, then those people need to be addressed for their actions, not every one who shares the skin tone of them.

The same is true regarding sexism.

Until your gender is brought up as a topic it is entirely irrelevant to how I feel about you.

However, if you’ve been targeted because of your gender by people of a different gender, then those people need to be addressed for their actions, not every one who shares the gender of them.

To lump all people who share a trait with an individual or group of individuals is ridiculous, unfounded, and indefensible.

Whether you dress it up as privilege or any other term, it is still categorically; Prejudicediscrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different unchosen inherent quality, based on the belief that one’s own unchosen inherent quality is superior.

Which is of course; bollocks.
